The first group of trained pilots consists of the most advanced instructor pilots who have already accumulated 2-3 thousand flight hours. On 27th November these pilots have finished their language course at the Loreto Aviation English Training Center, where they obtained language proficiency compliant with ICAO level 4, required to execute flight operations in the Italian airspace. The next phase of training is related to theoretical and practical sessions related to the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master jets. This phase takes place at the Lecce-Galatina airbase.

The above mentioned six pilots, one year after the present training, are going to become the ones who will be flying the initial batch of the M-346 jets which are to be based in Dęblin, opening a new chapter in the history of the Polish Air Force Academy. Poland ordered, in total, 8 Master Advanced Jet Trainers, with an option of acquiring additional 4 examples in the future.
