Another Shipment of K2 MBTs in Poland

According to the State Secretary at the Ministry of National Defence, Paweł Bejda, another transport of K2 tanks has arrived in Poland.
Another shipment of 12 K2 Black Panther tanks has arrived in Poland, and they will be assigned to the 16th Mechanized Division. Together with the previous delivery in February, which included 14 tanks, this means that the Polish Army currently possesses 110 out of the 180 K2 tanks. Negotiations are currently underway regarding the signing of another executive contract, which will likely involve the purchase of an additional 180 K2 tanks, including the Polish version K2PL, as well as approximately 80 support vehicles based on the K2 tank. The procurement of this next lot of tanks will allow for the complete withdrawal from service of all remaining T-72 and PT-91 tanks, as well as the formation of additional tank battalions.
If another contract is signed, the Polish Army will soon have the largest fleet of modern tanks in Europe, comprising 360 K2/K2PL tanks, 116 M1A1FEP tanks, 250 M1A2SEPv3 tanks, 105 Leopard 2A5 tanks, and 128 Leopard 2A4/2PL tanks. In total, that would be 959 tanks, and it should be noted that the framework agreement assumes the acquisition of 1,000 K2/K2PL tanks.
