Krzysztof Trofiniak, President of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), has resigned. Trofiniak had been serving as PGZ’s president since the end of March 2024.

PGZ confirmed that President Krzysztof Trofiniak has tendered his resignation. Currently, the group’s board consists of four members: Arkadiusz Bąk, Marcin Idzik, Piotr Zawieja, and Jan Grabowski.

Speculation about a possible dismissal of Trofiniak had been circulating for several weeks. According to Onet, which was the first to report Trofiniak’s resignation, both the Ministry of National Defense and the military had supported his dismissal, but the government opposed this decision. In the end, however, the head of PGZ resigned on his own accord. His resignation is linked to the slow pace of capability development by PGZ, including in ammunition production.
