Last year, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (Polish Armaments Group, PGZ) signed contracts worth more than PLN 120 billion in total. This marks a record-breaking result in the group’s entire history.

As PGZ management representatives revealed during a press breakfast, 2024 was a record year in terms of the contracts signed by the group. Contracts were concluded for a total of PLN 120 billion, meaning that new orders for the Polish defense industry reached the equivalent of over EUR 25 billion last year.

The largest share—over 40%—pertains to the air defence component. Two contracts in this area were worth PLN 30 billion and PLN 23 billion, respectively. These contracts involve licensed production of CAMM-ER missile launchers and missiles for the Narew air defense system. Although the agreements were signed in 2023, they came into effect last year after securing financing and meeting other conditions, and thus could be included in PGZ’s 2024 financial reports.

The next major category includes contracts for land systems. A total of 14 contracts were signed in this area, worth approximately PLN 30 billion. The largest of these involve four Regina fire modules with 96 Krab howitzers (including modernized versions), support vehicles for nine squadrons of K9 howitzers, and Rosomak and Rosomak-L armored personnel carriers equipped with ZSSW-30 turrets.

PGZ also signed smaller contracts in the aerospace domain and for equipment deliveries to the Navy. The implementation of further modernization programs presents both a significant opportunity and a major challenge for the Polish Armaments Group.
