The subject of the tender finalized by the Armament Inspectorate is defined as procurement of guided training bombs for the F-16 C/D Block 52+ jets, in a number of 200 examples, half of which is to be delivered until 31st October 2017, while the remaining ones are expected to be supplied before 31st October 2018. The bombs are to be used for the purpose of carrying out combat training for the Polish F-16 pilots.

The tender announced by the Armament Inspectorate back in January 2016 involved three entities. The best offer, on the basis of the tender criteria, price (weight of 90) and guarantee period (weight of 10). has been presented by the Kutno-based Megmar Logistics and Consulting company.
The value of the contract is said to be 11,9 million zlotys.
At the moment, the Polish Air Force (2nd Tactical Aviation Wing) operates 48 multi-role F-16 jets, based at Krzesiny and Łask airbases. Four Polish Jastrząb jets have been deployed abroad, in order to carry out reconnaissance activities in the Middle East, as a part of the coalition which fights against Daesh.
One should also note that this is the second tender concerning the procurement of training munitions for the F-16 jets of the Polish Air Force, as back on 23rd November, the Armament Inspectorate announced that Mesko company will be tasked to deliver the 20 mm TP RRR LD M2 training rounds for the cannon of the said fighter, within the period between 2017 and 2019, and later, in the year 2021.
